Baby thoroughly answers each of grandma’s questions
What a little chatterbox!

One of the most exciting moments of being a parent is hearing your baby say their very first word! The timing for this can vary from one baby to the next, with most infants able to say a couple of things by the time their first birthday arrives.

But even before they’re able to say things like ‘mama’ and ‘dada’, many babies are already pretty chatty and garble away in their own little language all day long!

One particularly cute baby was caught on camera carrying out an adorable conversation with his grandma, way back in the late 1990s.

The super cute clip begins with the baby in his grandma’s arms, fiddling around with a piece of plastic as the kind old lady asks all about his day.

“And tell me something, did they show you how to build a snowman?” she asks, and the baby immediately responds in its own special way.

He looks right at his grandma and makes some utterly indecipherable sounds. If only we had some kind of baby translator to figure out what he was saying!

Well, who needs a baby translator when you’ve got such an awesome grandma?

Without skipping a beat, she carries on questioning the little one, asking things like whether or not he put a hat on the snowman and what he used to make its eyes.

Each time, the baby garbles something back in response, and it really sounds just like a totally natural conversation between a child and his grandma, if you ignore the fact that half of the conversation is total gobbledygook!

It’s especially cute when the baby goes on a super long monologue after grandma asks about snow machines.

It seems like he’s really trying to form proper words, putting emotion and emphasis into every syllable, looking up at his grandma and hoping she understands.

And each time, the kind old lady smiles back at him, showing such wonderful interest in his day and constantly thinking up new questions to keep their little chat going even longer.

At one point, after the little one starts chewing on its toy, grandma even jokingly says, “I can’t understand you when you’re eating blocks!”

She seems like a really nice lady, and speaking to young children like this is a great way to help them learn new words and figure out speech patterns that they can start copying.

It’s such a sweet video, and it’s no surprise that over a million people have seen it already, leaving countless likes and happy comments underneath.

In the caption below, we learn that the baby was born in 1997, so he’s in his twenties now, and sadly the grandma passed away back in 2009 but was clearly an amazing person.

This is my son (who was born in 1997) when he was around 1.5 years old, before he could talk. I guess nobody told him speaking the language was necessary for conversation! This conversation is still legendary in our family. Sadly, his grandmother passed away in 2009. She is missed every day. She was even more wonderful than she seems in this video.
