Children in weddings are adorable.
They are dressed in their wedding best and stand out amongst all the adults in the wedding party. Yet, for the parent of the flower girl or ring bearer, there is a level of stress to the wedding day they would have rather not had. There is one thing that a wedding cannot stop, a child’s unpredictability when they are bored and kids always get bored at weddings.
It is an honor for a friend or family member to ask your child to take part in their special day, but it can also can create anxiety.
Any parent that has had their child in a wedding knows the anxiety it can cause until the vows are said and the newlyweds are walking down the aisle together, that is the moment you can finally breathe. Kids have refused to walk down aisles, cried, thrown tantrums, and completely made up their own rules. You might think you have the greatest rule-following child but there is just something about weddings that bring out their “special moments.”
While it might be stressful for the parents, it is important to note that you are not alone.
If your child is in a wedding party and makes a scene during the wedding, it will be highly embarrassing but it was not the first and will not be the last time a kid steals the spotlight during a wedding ceremony. You might be a bundle of nerves but even if the worse happens and your child steals the spotlight, we promise that one day it will be funny.

The very first ring bearer starts to wander out of boredom but misses a step and falls to the ground. Yes, there are many ring bearers that fall throughout this video, but that is not the only way that kids can steal the spotlight during weddings. On ring bearer is still very young, so they let him come down the aisle in his electric toy car.
The only problem was that he fell asleep at the wheel, no more milk and driving for that little guy.
Another funny theme is how many children have no interest in walking down the aisle.
There are flower girls forcing the ring bearers down the aisle, ring bearers making it halfway down before turning it around with a change of heart or kids walking to a friendly face in the pews instead. One ring bearer had no shame in showing how badly he did not want to participate in walking down the aisle and made sure everyone knew how he really felt.
The kids might not make it down the aisle, or want to, but as long as the bride does that is all that matters.
A personal favorite is the wedding reception that stars around the one minute mark. This kid made it through the wedding ceremony but was not having the reception activities. No one had clued him in about the garter toss and he had a very choice reaction to finding out.
I will not give away but happens but it will leave your laughing out loud.
