Oh, flower girls. Could they get any cuter?

Although the bride will always be the star of a wedding – guests also look forward to watching the flower girl scatter her petals. Typically, she’s younger than eight-years-old, meaning a lot of funny and adorable moments can happen while she heads down the aisle.

Over the years, the Internet has brought us many flower girl mishaps – from little girls crying to going AWOL. But when you invite small children to be a part of a wedding, you can’t expect everything to go according to the script!

There’s one flower girl entrance, in particular, that’s stolen viewers’ hearts. It was filmed a number of years ago, but is definitely a classic. Right now the video has over 4.7 million views.

Here comes the flower girl

A little girl identified as Teagan didn’t seem to get the concept of walking down the aisle. Maybe she was excited to tell the groom about the bride.

But what she ended up doing put wedding guests and many viewers of the video in hysterics.

Little Teagan just stood at the foot of the aisle and yelled out the groom – and her future uncle’s name – AJ.

A tiny kid with a big voice

She yelled his name over and over again, even screaming it, her voice echoing throughout the church.

While commenters seemed to think the couple got a raw deal on their videographer, the camera was shaky because the person holding it was laughing so hard. And so was everyone around her.

The original poster chimed in to confirm:

“Yes, it’s shaky. The person videotaping was getting used to not using their own camera….plus then the person was laughing thus shaking even more,” she said in the comments.

While she was eventually interrupted by another member of the bridal party who tried to put her back on track, it didn’t quite work the first time.

Calls of “AJ. AJ! AAAJJJ!” rang out again.

She even bent down to pick up the petals she had accidentally dropped – clearly not informed that they were actually supposed to end up on the floor.

Most commenters found it a wonderful moment that added some much-needed levity to an emotional situation. Other’s thought the child had ruined the bride’s special moment with her antics.

But the poster said the family was pleased to have her, despite the hilarious disruption. She clapped back at criticisms, saying:

“No, she was a special part of the wedding. This was the bride’s niece whom she loves and adores and there’s no way she wouldn’t have been a part of the wedding. By the laughter in the background obviously it wasn’t just the mom who thought it was funny. She helped break the tension…. we were all emotional and even the groom went from tearing up to laughing and smiling because of her.”

And all was well in the end. After a second push, Teagan started her way down the aisle.

She was even greeted by the laughing groom.

It was time to get on with the rest of the show.

Eventually, she was scooped up by a family member in the front rows so others could have their moment to shine.

While the video cuts out right after her “performance,” we assume the rest of the bridal party did their duties, the bride made a beautiful entrance, and the rest of the ceremony went off without a hitch.
