There are a variety of things that can earn a man the title of “cool dad”, but being a musician is definitely at the top of the list.

But a lot of musicians have had their careers put somewhat on hold during the coronavirus pandemic. Concerts have been cancelled all over the world so some artists have turned to performing over social media for their fans instead.

But for Colt Clark of Tampa, Florida, he has some of his adoring fans at home! And the fans have been recently upgraded to band mates.

You see, Colt isn’t the only artistic one in the family. His wife Aubree also has a creative streak and works as a photographer. She’s now homeschooling all three of their children, who seem to have inherited their creativity from their talented parents.

Just like many of us, The Clark family has found themselves with a lot of extra time on their hands, and are putting their creative souls to work.

“Around March 16, I lost everything, all my business canceled. While staying at home, I saw how good the kids were at music,” Colt told his local news station.

So they started a family band!

They call themselves Colt Clark and The Quarantine Kids. That’s some pretty strong alliteration right there.

Aubree thought the performances were so cute that she suggested they record their nightly music sessions, and the internet ate it up! Their adorable performances quickly went viral on YouTube.

The family’s cover of Come Together, by the Beatles, racked up more than half a million views in just two weeks.

Colt taught his kids how to play different songs, and they would practice them together in the living room. His two eldest boys already play instruments.

8-year-old Beckett is partial to the drums, and 10-year-old Cash plays bass guitar.

His youngest daughter, Bellamy, is only 6 years old, and has a variety of roles in the band.

While the men in the family jam out on their instruments, Bellamy steals the show, doing her favourite dance moves for the camera.

And with more confidence than most adults, I might add.

Her expressions are hilarious!

She also sings backup, plays the maracas, and occasionally a little air guitar too.

This little girl is full of beans, bouncing all over the “stage” of their living room, never doing one thing for too long before jumping into something else.

She’s too cute!

And in this video, her pig tail hair style is bouncing all over the place. Going crazy as she dances about.

The whole family band is darling, but this little girl breathes so much life into the performance it’s impossible not to watch with a smile.

She gets so into her performance. She’s a natural in front of the camera. Who knew you could dance so hard to a Beatles cover?

Naturally, their parents are very impressed with their talented children.

“I am so proud of them. When I see them playing with me, it’s amazing.” – Colt Clark

And you can tell the kids are having an awesome time too!

That’s certainly one good way to keep them from going stir-crazy at home. Now they’re internet famous!

It’s amazing how this family has turned lemons into musical lemonade and are helping their kids get in touch with their creativity during this lockdown.
