Oh my goodness, this is too funny. :)

When you involve little kids in your wedding party, you have to prepare for some level of drama.

From tantrums to stage fright, it’s impossible to predict how they’re going to react to being the center of attention AND having a job to do.

This video shows two kids under 5 doing their jobs well – it’s just that one of them doesn’t quite get the concept of lining the aisle with flowers.

Litterbug

The boy and girl are right in front of the bride, who is waiting at the door while her path is lined with rose petals.

The flower girl does her job very well – she understands the concept and doesn’t let anything distract her.

But the ring-bearer is astonished when he sees the first fistful of petals hit the ground. Why is she littering?!

It turns out he wasn’t informed of his partner’s job.

At first, he simply looks at the ground, perhaps wondering if he should pick them up. He seems to have an advanced sense of decorum at this special event.

But he thinks better of it. And we’re impressed that he follows the instructions to just keep walking down the aisle.

Inconceivable

As the flower girl keeps tossing petals, he gets more and more disturbed by her behavior though.

At one point, we had to laugh as he pointed at the ground as if to say “what the heck are you doing?!”

The gesture alone had the guests in stitches.

Then he shakes his head in disbelief, wondering why no one is intervening in this mess-making venture.

The videography is beautifully done, so we get the drama from a few different angles very clearly.

We can even see the disturbed kiddo rub his temples as he thinks his partner is ruining everything with those petals. But he soldiers on.

And to her credit, the flower girl is unflappable. She ignores the ring-bearer’s reaction and keeps on tossing!

Is anyone going to clean this up?

Eventually, we get to see the kids head-on.

Well, at least we get to see the top of the ring-bearer’s head since he’s got his eyes glued to the littered aisle throughout most of his walk.

Once they get to the front, they lose the plot a bit.

Now what?

They just need a little instruction on where to sit, apparently. And that’s what the adults are for.

There’s just one problem. The ring-bearer seems to think those petals need to be taken care of before the bride walks down the aisle.

He simply stares back down in horror at the “littered” path to the altar. Maybe he’s wondering if someone is going to blame him for this mess.

It takes more effort to lead him to his seat since he really wants an adult to notice the mess and take care of it.

But since the adults all seem not to notice, all he can do is throw up his hands as he sits down, perhaps thinking to himself, “Ok, fine, if you guys want to leave a mess there, then that’s your choice.”

It’s a lovely path though, and we’re sure the bride appreciated her flower girl’s efforts.
