Yes, it can be frustrating when children get into temper tantrums. But would you have reacted like this?

Everyone knows that toddlers can be super difficult to deal with from time to time. After all, they call it the terrible twos, not the wonderful twos.

Juliette was a two-year-old girl from Quebec, Canada. One day, she and her dad had been to the store. At the store, Juliette wanted candy. But her dad didn’t get any for her.

So naturally, Juliette got mad.

She was screaming all on the drive home.

Then, the dad pulled in to his driveway.

He had texted his girlfriend that their daughter was acting crazy. So the girlfriend started recording, hoping that their daughter would do something funny on the walk inside. She had no idea that she was about to capture something that would go viral.

Juliette didn’t leave the car willingly. She wanted her dad to go back to the store for the candy. So the dad lifted her up and placed her on the ground.

Juliette decided to just keep lying on the ground. Hopefully, that would make the dad go back to the store, she hoped.

But the dad had other ideas.

The dad put his shopping bags in one hand. With the other, he reached down and lifted Juliette up.

Then he walked to his front door with the shopping and his daughter in his hands.

The video cut out there. But the dad’s handy solution managed to soon go viral.

On YouTube alone, it has gained 3.6 million views. It also has more than 1,000 likes and dozens of comments. People have been saying things like this:

Clearly, the dad in this video is a role model for every parent!

If only everyone could be so level headed when their kids are acting like hellions!

Of course, there are several things that parents could do to stop a tantrum before it becomes a full-on nightmare.

One of the easiest ways to stop a tantrum before it’s technically really a tantrum is to check to see if your child is hungry. After all, toddlers get hangry too! Also, they may need a nap.

Another simple way to, maybe, diffuse a tantrum in a two-year-old is to ask them what’s wrong. Sure, a two-year-old may not be able to give the most articulate of answers. But the kid may think that you have understood, which could please them. And if you get the gist of their problem, then you may work out how to make them happy.

And of course, if all else fails, you can always try to distract your toddler.

Let’s face it, toddlers are hardly known for their amazing attention spans. If you pull a funny face for about 30 seconds, the toddler may forget all of their issues.

But if your toddler does go into full-on tantrum mode, then the dad in this video shows that sometimes, you just have to carry on and let the kid tantrum away.
