When the COVID-19 pandemic hit early last year, everyone was shocked and had no idea how to tackle it initially.

We stayed home, we kept our distance, and we became best friends with antibacterial gels and face masks.

We stopped going to work – we worked remotely instead. We stopped going shopping at the stores – we ordered everything online instead. Even children stopped going to school – they attended virtual classes instead.

All of that sure had a negative impact on the human psyche. Adults were deprived of their routine, friendships, many of them even lost their jobs, resulting in financial problems that, in turn, affected family relationships.

Kids were possibly the group that was most impacted by the pandemic. Suddenly and without warning, they stopped going to school.

They couldn’t see their friends, their teachers, or anyone for that matter.

They found themselves “trapped” inside the house, with one or both parents working on their laptops and with minimal chances to socialize and have some fun.

Only children had it worse, kids with siblings were better off since they could at least socialize with their brothers and sisters.

Now, can you imagine being born during a pandemic?

Emelia “Emmy” Muddamalle has spent her life as a “pandemic baby.”

But 18-month-old Emmy has always had her brothers around. Her three brothers attended school online last year, so the four of them became inseparable.

All that changed a few weeks ago, when schools started again in person.

Emmy was shocked when she realized her brothers were not at home when she woke up in the morning.

“She never experienced her brothers gone,” Emmy’s mother, Brittany Muddamalle, told Good Morning America. “This is the first time. She’ll wake up from her nap like, ‘Where in the world are my brothers?’ and look for them all day.”

Brittany, a TikTokker with almost 120k followers, captured the toddler’s reaction when her brothers come home from school – and she posted it on TikTok.

In the video, young Emmy can be seen spotting her brothers coming home, and walking towards them greeting them.

She’s so cute when she calls them “bubby”- that’s what she does with all of them, Brittany explains.

The boys are equally excited and they approach her running and calling her name.

When the boys reach their sister, they sit down and hug her, and the video ends with the cutest group hug ever.

The video had us smiling – okay, it just might have brought tears to our eyes, don’t judge! And TikTok users we equally affected by it.
