Identical twin sisters marry identical twin brothers and have babies that are technically 'siblings'
The DNA in this family is something else!

Identical twins Briana and Brittany announced their pregnancy on Instagram last year. The 35-year-old sisters are having quaternary twins.

Quaternary twins happen when two children born less than nine months apart come from identical twin fathers and identical twin mothers.

Brittany and Josh are parents to 1-year-old Jett, while Briana and Jeremy are parents to 1-year-old Jax. Now Jett and Jax are technically cousins, but they’re quaternary twins, so the 2 are more like genetic brothers

That’s how it is when their identical twin parents share the same DNA.

“We were hoping that we would have overlapping pregnancies so that this would happen. We thought it would be really cool,” Briana said. “There’s only 300 quaternary marriages known in the history of the world.”

The couples met at the Twins Days Festival in 2017.

Brittany and Briana described meeting the men saying it was like they “just walked out of our twin dreams.”

A double proposal happened at a park called Twin Lakes just six months later. The wedding was a joint ceremony during the 2018 Twins Days Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Brittany and Briana, the former “Extreme Sisters” stars, once dated nontwins. “Singletons” as they like to call them. But they’ve always wanted to be with identical twins.

“I think for a lot of people in the dating world, specifically singletons, they are looking for their other half,” Brittany said.

“We each already had another half – a literal other half. And we each previously had experiences where we dated people who were annoyed that it was not them who was considered the other half. But the four of us all understand the twin thing.”

The 2 couples live in Virginia. They share a house while managing a wedding venue site together.

And it was something they all wanted when they got engaged. The twins knew they were meant for each other when they found out.

Their online presence means the Salyers get negative comments but they just ignore such users.

“We try to ignore sociopathic stalker comments and just focus on the positive,” Brittany said. “Some people think we are really strange and others think it’s really amazing. We’ve gotten a lot of support and interest and we’ve been grateful for that.”

The twin couples are also debating on adding to their families.

Briana says they’ll reach a decision soon. The babies are still young and need a lot of attention and care. But chances are there will be a new addition knowing these twins.

The 2 families have built a strong bond living together under one roof.

Jeremy says he also feels like Jett’s parent. With the 2 couples living together and raising the kids as one, it feels like one family and not two separate couples with their own lives.

It’s a set up unlike any other for sure but they get along just fine. Must be that twin thing. The 2 babies will definitely grow up surrounded by a lot of love.
